Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026

1. Who we are

NITE is operated by NITE LV LLC ("NITE", "we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the NITE app and website. Questions: nitelvllc@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Account: email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), display name, username, mobile number, home city, profile photo and your Terms and consent acceptances.

Location: your device location only when you tap to check in or to see venues near you, used to confirm you are at a venue. If you separately turn on "Show where I'm out", the venue you're at is shown to friends.

Photos and content: check-in photos, NITES Out photos and captions, comments, crew names and direct messages.

Venue covers: AI illustrations are generated from non-personal venue descriptions. A public verified check-in photo may be featured as a venue cover only when you separately opt in; it is credited to your username.

Check-ins and status: venues visited, timestamps, XP, tiers, badges, bucket list, follows and friends.

Payments: membership purchases are processed by Stripe. We receive your plan, subscription status, amounts and a customer reference — never your full card number.

Usage and device: app diagnostics, error reports, push-notification tokens and basic device/browser information.

3. How we use it

To run NITE: verify check-ins, award XP and status, show your profile and activity to members according to your settings, deliver messages and notifications, and manage memberships.

To keep members safe: automated moderation of photos and text, reviewing reports, enforcing blocks and suspending accounts that break the rules.

To present venues: generate atmospheric venue illustrations without personal data, and select eligible opted-in member photos that are room-focused rather than centered on identifiable faces.

To secure and improve the service, fix errors and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Third parties we share with

Hosting and database (Lovable Cloud, built on Supabase): stores your account and content.

Stripe: processes membership payments and receipts.

Google Maps Platform: place IDs and venue coordinates used for check-in verification. Your precise device location is not shared with Google for check-ins. Map and place features use Google Maps and are subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service (https://maps.google.com/help/terms_maps/) and the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

Google Gemini, via Lovable's AI service: photos, captions, comments, messages, crew names and profile text are sent for automated safety moderation, only after you consent.

Email and SMS/push providers: to deliver account emails, alerts and notifications you turn on.

Other members see what your privacy settings allow. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect someone's safety.

5. Location controls

Location is only requested after you tap a button, and you can deny or revoke it at any time in your device Settings. Allowing location does not share where you are — "Show where I'm out" is a separate switch, off by default, that you can turn off at any time in the app.

6. Retention

We keep your information while your account is open. Backups are kept for up to 14 days. Payment records may be kept longer where tax or accounting law requires. Reports and moderation records may be kept as needed to protect members.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your account any time in Account → Delete account. This cancels any paid membership and removes your profile, check-ins, photos, posts, comments and messages, except records we must keep by law.

8. Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile, change privacy and notification settings, block members, withdraw location access and delete your account. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data — email nitelvllc@gmail.com.

You can withdraw venue-cover permission at any time in Account settings. Turning it off removes all of your opted-in photos from cover selection immediately; deleting the photo or your account does the same.

NITE is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy and will show the new effective date here. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
